Google just announced that it has successfully designed an A.I. that can beat expert players at Go. The A.I. just beat the European Go champion Fan Hui 5 games to 0. The team at Google headed by Demis Hassabis announced that they will be holding a match with some of the top Go players in Asia in South Korea in March. In an interview held with Nature, the Google team eluded that progress in A.I. can be applied to practical applications such as assessing patients presenting with symptoms.
